8TH ANNUAL MINI-GATHERINGS

Hello to all of you.  Here is the entry form for this year slate of mini gatherings beginning in January, 2011 here at the Halifax Citadel once again. I hope to have a big entry again and if you wouldn't mind circulating this around to different people you think may have an interest, that would be appreciated.
These contests run 100% on the strength of volunteers to coordinate, wonderful shop owners who donate prizes, parents who help in organizing the events and the kitchen and most importantly, YOU, the competitors. As soon as you know that you will be attending, please get the entry forms and payments in to either myself or Brittney so we can coordinate the days activities.
Unlike more formal events, we try to encourage as many people as possible to get up and play and urge them to try to just get out , practice and be a little better each month. This has been the formula since the beginning, and the success in the summer of those who prepared early, learning their tunes to be ready for these gatherings has been remarkable. We have now had players come through the grades here and make it right to the top of grade one, winning prizes at the Nicol Brown and Sheriff contest and others that have gone even further to play in Scotland. Dedication and preparation are what makes playing the pipes fun and I hope that you will all come and play once again this year.
