ED NEIGH PRESENTS THE SET TUNES FOR THE 2008 SILVER MEDAL
PIOBAIREACHD
The Piobaireachd Society
of Antigonish has announced that Ed Neigh of Wellesley, ON, one of the top
piobaireachd instructors and judges in North America, will present the set tunes
for the 2008 Silver Medal Piobaireachd events at a weekend workshop in
Antigonish on November 3rd and 4th. While the emphasis will be on the Silver
Medal tunes, Open players who wish to see one or more of the Gold Medal and/or
Clasp tunes covered are asked to list the tunes they would like when they
register.
Pipers interested in attending the workshop should contact
Scott Williams (scott.williams@ns.sympatico.ca).
It will be helpful in planning for the event if you indicate the tunes from the
lists below that you would especially like to see covered at the workshop. The
fee for the workshop is $40 for one day and $60 for the two days (make cheques
payable to The Piobaireachd Society of Antigonish, and indicate which day if
only attending one). Please send your cheque along with your name, address,
phone number, e-mail address and preferred tune list to Scott Williams by mail
at 43 Hillcrest Street, Antigonish, NS B2G 1Z2 by October 20th. Late
registrations may be accepted if there is room for an additional fee of $20.00.
